Objective:
Graphically interpret an animal creature using fundamental elements of design and geometry, and to communicate a set number of unique physical, behavioral, and personality traits. Then combine the graphic creature mark with an interpretive phrase while following Fibonacci Proportions.
Research:
In my research about my chosen creature, the hummingbird, I learned that there are around 375 different species of hummingbirds. I found myself drawn to the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird, as they are very colorful and it is the most commonly depicted species of hummingbird. I gathered reference images, primarily of this specific hummingbird species. Hummingbirds are known for their quick movements and wing speed, drinking nectar, and their curious personalities. I wanted to depict this curiosity in my creature mark design, as well as show the rapid movement of their wings.

Interpretive Phrase Application:
To apply the final creature mark, I introduced an interpretive phrase and graphic elements to create a poster design that followed a grid system and Fibonacci proportions.
